be active: laugh, laugh and laugh some more for your health’s sake
I know you have heard the old saying that “Laughter is the best medicine” but did you know that it is scientifically true? According to Psychology Today, there is factual evidence that laughter truly is an action that improves health in multiple ways. Laughter reduces pain, discomfort and improves job performance and relationships. This action also helps a person’s blood in multiple ways–reduces blood sugar and helps blood vessel function better. “It acts on the inner lining of blood vessels, called the endothelium, causing vessels to relax and expand, increasing blood flow. In other words, it’s good for your heart and brain, two organs that require the steady flow of oxygen carried in the blood.” Laughter does a whole lot more as well. This is AWESOME! And I am reminded of the section in the movie The Secret where the lovely woman who was diagnosed with BC knew they couldn’t collapse into despair so her and her husband decided to laugh and laugh! Only watched and read very funny material. And her next checkup (a follow up in prep for treatment) came out 100% clear! Again, I needed this today. You are an angel for me. Much love and hugs, Gina
Awww you’re too sweet Gina. I’m glad something in my blog is helpful for you. That makes me really happy. Thanks for reading and commenting!
