About

Summary

The Jolyn Project is dedicated to anyone who wishes to change the world for the better. This may sound like a daunting or an unrealistic task. However, it does not have to be either one if we begin to think a little simpler and act a little kinder. If you need a refresher on how to simplify positive change in your life, then maybe this blog will be of great use to you.

A Little Personal Note

I was not very good at comprehension. I specifically remember the sighs and red ink that pour all over my middle school and high school essays. I, somehow, ended up with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and loving the art of writing. I used to be embarrassed by my words; now, I’m proud of my vernacular. I still have my moments of insecurity but that’s human, that’s “normal.”

Most of my blog entries on The Jolyn Project are reflections of my own insecurities and faults and most of the time, I am working on that very issue at the time of writing the piece. For this reason, I always try to put the words “we” and “us” instead of “you” and “I” because I am never separate from those who need to read the posts.

I am a work in progress, like all of you. I am not in a better mental, emotional state. I am just able to connect and hear the words come through me. I am grateful to be chosen to write these words at this time. However, we are all chosen to do something to make the world a better place or to make us more aware of our true selves. It does not even have to be a traditional artistic pursuit like writing, drawing, singing or performing. It could be coming into work everyday with a smile on your face while everyone else’s faces are frowning. Your smile creates light in the others’ lives. That light can shine through the others’ friends and families which makes the creation of positive energy ongoing.

The Jolyn Project is just my outlet, my creative outlet, my traditional creative outlet to express the best me at the moment in hopes for you to find the best you in the same moment.
